GTA Online Shipwreck Location Today
For 9 August 2026, the Shipwreck is predicted to be at Procopio Beach East, spot #17. It is the same location for every player, and the chest inside pays GTA$25,000, 2,000 RP and an outfit scrap. Open the pin on our interactive map to see exactly where the wreck is.
This is our prediction for today; it isn't confirmed in-game yet. A new location appears at 06:00 UTC.

The sunken treasure chest pays GTA$25,000 and 2,000 RP, plus one scrap of the Frontier Outfit. Collect scraps on seven different days (they do not need to be in a row) and the full outfit unlocks. Rockstar sets the payout server-side and sometimes boosts it during event weeks, so a bigger number in-game is a bonus, not an error.
One chest per day is the cap, and everyone gets the same location. The Daily Collectibles tracker in the Interaction Menu (under Inventory) shows whether you have already taken today's. It stacks with the other daily collectibles if you run a daily money loop.
Getting there and opening the chest
The chest itself is a minute or two: reach the wreck, spot the chest by the hull and hold to open it. Travel is the real cost, and it depends on where today's wreck sits. City-adjacent spots such as Vespucci Beach or Terminal are a quick drive, while the Paleto coast and the open-ocean wrecks are a long haul by road, so an aircraft (a Sparrow, an Oppressor Mk II or any fast helicopter) keeps most runs short. Some wrecks sit underwater rather than on the beach, so expect a short swim or dive at those spots.
