Best HSW Cars in GTA Online: Which Conversion Is Actually Worth It (2026)
Follow @gtabossgg on X for weekly updates and guides.
Follow on XThe fastest HSW car in GTA Online is the Bravado Banshee GTS at 172.5 mph, but it costs GTA$ 1,989,500 plus a GTA$ 1,900,000 conversion. The best value is a cheap conversion instead: the Imponte Arbiter GT, Karin S95 or Declasse Vigero ZX add 30.5 to 40.25 mph for GTA$ 375,000 to GTA$ 550,000.
Every Hao's Special Works conversion is a second bill on top of the car, so the real question is what each one buys you. HSW conversions are only available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Enhanced PC. You get them at Hao's Special Works in the LS Car Meet, and 30 cars plus one motorcycle can be converted. One of those cars, the new Pegassi Horus, has no tested top speed or lap time yet, so every ranking here covers the 29 tested cars. Below you'll find the verdict by goal, the fastest cars, the best value conversions, the best cars for racing, the cheapest ways in and a full price table for all 30 cars. Every top speed and lap time is from Broughy1322's tests on fully upgraded cars.

Best HSW car for your goal
There is no single best HSW car, because the fastest car, the best racer and the best deal are three different cars. Pick by what you want the money to do.
Goal | Best pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
Highest top speed | 172.5 mph, the fastest HSW car | |
Most speed per dollar | GTA$ 375,000 conversion for +30.5 mph | |
Fast car on a cheap conversion | 158 mph for a GTA$ 550,000 conversion | |
Biggest jump in speed | +43.25 mph, GTA$ 1,875,000 for the car plus the conversion (removed from sale; buy it when it returns) | |
Racing (lap time) | 0:54.704, the best HSW lap of any car | |
Lowest total spend | GTA$ 1,252,500 for the car plus the conversion |
If you play on PS4, Xbox One or Legacy PC, none of these conversions are available to you. Head to the fastest non-HSW cars guide instead.
The fastest HSW cars
The Bravado Banshee GTS goes from 138 to 172.5 mph with HSW. That makes it the fastest non-weaponized land vehicle in the game, bikes included. It is also one of the most expensive HSW cars here: GTA$ 1,989,500 for the car and GTA$ 1,900,000 for the conversion, GTA$ 3,889,500 in total.
Two cars sit close behind it:
Grotti Stinger TT: 132 to 168.5 mph, with a GTA$ 1,418,000 conversion (GTA$ 3,798,000 with the car).
Declasse Tampa GT: 130.5 to 166 mph, with a GTA$ 1,400,000 conversion. At GTA$ 2,711,000 for the car plus the conversion, it is the cheapest of the top three by more than GTA$ 1,000,000.
Top speed is not lap time, though. The Banshee GTS laps in 0:57.574 with HSW, while the Vapid FMJ MK V manages 0:54.704 despite topping out at 155.75 mph. For the live ranking of every fast car in the game, HSW included, see our fastest vehicles page.
Best value HSW conversions
If you want the best HSW car for the money, look at what each conversion costs for every mph it adds. This is our own rough value guide: the conversion price divided by the mph HSW adds, with the price of the car left out. It is not an official figure, but it shows quickly where your money goes furthest.
Car | Top speed (standard to HSW) | HSW conversion | Conversion per mph gained |
|---|---|---|---|
111.5 to 142 mph | GTA$ 375,000 | GTA$ 12,295 | |
116.25 to 156.5 mph | GTA$ 525,000 | GTA$ 13,043 | |
125 to 158 mph | GTA$ 550,000 | GTA$ 16,667 | |
125 to 158 mph | GTA$ 550,000 | GTA$ 16,667 | |
Benefactor Stirling GT (removed from sale) | 113 to 156.25 mph | GTA$ 900,000 | GTA$ 20,809 |
The Arbiter GT is the cheapest conversion in the game at GTA$ 375,000, and it adds 30.5 mph. The S95 adds 40.25 mph for GTA$ 525,000, and it laps quicker than the Vigero ZX (0:59.559 against 1:02.062). The Vigero ZX is the fastest of the three at 158 mph, which is quicker than the HSW FMJ MK V, for less than a third of the FMJ's conversion price. The Vigero ZX Convertible matches it on speed and conversion cost, but the car itself costs more (GTA$ 2,295,000 against GTA$ 1,947,000).
The Benefactor Stirling GT makes the biggest jump of any tested HSW car, 43.25 mph (113 to 156.25), and at GTA$ 1,875,000 it is the cheapest car plus conversion that reaches 156 mph. The catch: it has been removed from sale, so you can only buy it in the weeks it returns. Among cars you can buy any week, the Declasse Vigero ZX is the cheapest car plus conversion past 156 mph, at GTA$ 2,497,000 for 158 mph.
At the other end, the Vapid FMJ MK V (GTA$ 87,640 per mph gained) and the Grotti Veleno GT (GTA$ 71,109) are the most expensive conversions on this measure. The Banshee GTS works out at GTA$ 55,072 per mph: you pay a premium for the top spot.
Best HSW car for racing
For racing, lap time matters more than top speed, and the order changes completely. These are the five best HSW laps by any car:
Car | Lap, HSW | Lap, standard | HSW conversion |
|---|---|---|---|
0:54.704 | 0:57.774 | GTA$ 1,950,000 | |
Pegassi Weaponized Ignus (weaponized) | 0:55.222 | 0:57.824 | GTA$ 500,000 |
0:55.389 | 0:59.726 | GTA$ 1,800,000 | |
0:55.823 | 0:59.660 | GTA$ 475,000 | |
0:56.139 | 1:00.811 | GTA$ 818,000 |
The FMJ MK V is the odd one out in this guide: the poorest value for top speed, and the best HSW car for lap times. If you race, that trade makes sense. The Coil Cyclone II is the value pick for racing, with one of the cheapest conversions in the game (GTA$ 475,000) and the third-best lap among non-weaponized HSW cars.
The only tested HSW vehicle that laps faster than all of these is a motorcycle: the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag, at 0:52.736.
Cheapest ways into HSW
If the goal is simply to own an HSW car for the least money, look at the car plus the conversion together. These are the five cheapest:
Grotti Brioso R/A: GTA$ 1,252,500 in total for 132.5 mph.
Übermacht Sentinel XS: GTA$ 1,434,000 in total for 136.5 mph.
Grotti Turismo Classic: GTA$ 1,602,000 in total for 151.5 mph.
Karin Vivanite: GTA$ 1,760,000 in total for 128 mph.
Benefactor Stirling GT: GTA$ 1,875,000 in total for 156.25 mph, but it has been removed from sale and can only be bought in the weeks it returns.
Both the Brioso R/A and the Sentinel XS are cheap cars, but their conversions (GTA$ 1,097,500 and GTA$ 1,374,000) cost more than the cars themselves, so most of your money goes to Hao. For GTA$ 441,000 more than the Sentinel XS, the Stirling GT is 19.75 mph faster. The Bravado Banshee is a similar case to the Brioso and Sentinel: a GTA$ 105,000 car with a GTA$ 1,840,000 conversion, GTA$ 1,945,000 in total for 152.75 mph.
All 30 HSW cars compared
This table covers all 30 cars that Hao's Special Works can convert, sorted by HSW top speed. "Car + conversion" is the car price plus the conversion price. The one motorcycle, the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag, is covered in our fastest motorcycles guide. For full specs on every HSW vehicle, see the Hao's Special Works vehicle list.

The Pegassi Horus can take HSW, but no tested top speed or lap time exists for it yet, so it sits at the bottom of the table unranked.
Is HSW worth it?
If speed is the point, yes, but only if you pick the conversion carefully. A GTA$ 375,000 to GTA$ 550,000 conversion on the Arbiter GT, S95 or Vigero ZX buys 30.5 to 40.25 mph. A GTA$ 1,950,000 conversion on the FMJ MK V buys 22.25 mph, which mostly pays off if you race.
What it costs. Conversions run from GTA$ 375,000 (Arbiter GT) to GTA$ 1,950,000 (FMJ MK V), and you pay that on top of the car. The totals in this guide are the car plus the conversion, nothing more. The tested speeds are for fully upgraded cars, so the performance upgrades (engine, transmission, turbo and brakes) cost extra on top.
Where to do it. Conversions happen at Hao's Special Works inside the LS Car Meet. Our LS Car Meet guide covers how the venue works.
Who can use it. HSW is only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Enhanced PC (Enhanced PC since March 2025). On PS4, Xbox One and Legacy PC, the standard numbers are the ceiling, so the fastest non-HSW cars guide is the one to read.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best HSW car in GTA Online?
It depends on your goal. The Bravado Banshee GTS is the fastest at 172.5 mph, the Vapid FMJ MK V posts the best HSW lap of any car (0:54.704), and the Imponte Arbiter GT, Karin S95 and Declasse Vigero ZX are the best value conversions.
What is the fastest HSW car in GTA Online?
The Bravado Banshee GTS, at 172.5 mph with HSW, is the fastest tested HSW car (the Pegassi Horus has not been tested yet). It is the fastest non-weaponized land vehicle in the game, bikes included. The Grotti Stinger TT (168.5 mph) and Declasse Tampa GT (166 mph) follow.
Is HSW worth it?
Yes, if you choose a conversion that gives a lot of speed for the price. The Arbiter GT gains 30.5 mph for GTA$ 375,000 and the S95 gains 40.25 mph for GTA$ 525,000. Expensive conversions such as the FMJ MK V's (GTA$ 1,950,000) make the most sense for racing.
How much does HSW cost?
An HSW conversion costs between GTA$ 375,000 (Arbiter GT) and GTA$ 1,950,000 (FMJ MK V), on top of the price of the car. The cheapest car plus conversion is the Grotti Brioso R/A at GTA$ 1,252,500 in total.
What is the best HSW car for racing?
The Vapid FMJ MK V, with a 0:54.704 lap, the best tested HSW lap of any car. The Übermacht Niobe (0:55.389) and Coil Cyclone II (0:55.823) are the next-best non-weaponized options, and the Cyclone II's conversion costs only GTA$ 475,000.
Which cars have HSW in GTA Online?
30 cars and one motorcycle can be converted at Hao's Special Works. The full list with specs is on our Hao's Special Works vehicle page.
Is there an HSW motorcycle?
Yes, one: the Shitzu Hakuchou Drag. It costs GTA$ 976,000 plus a GTA$ 1,450,000 conversion, goes from 126.5 to 157.5 mph, and laps in 0:52.736, faster than any tested HSW car. More in our fastest motorcycles guide.
Can you get HSW on PS4, Xbox One or Legacy PC?
No. HSW conversions are only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Enhanced PC. On older platforms, see the fastest non-HSW cars guide.
How fast is the Pegassi Horus with HSW?
There is no tested figure yet. The Pegassi Horus can take HSW (GTA$ 2,810,000 for the car plus a GTA$ 1,750,000 conversion), but it has no tested top speed or lap time so far.
