How Under the Bridge works
You only need 25 of the 50 for 100% completion. Flying under all 50, plus all 15 knife flights, earns the Close Shave achievement.
A bridge counts when you fly underneath it in a plane or a helicopter, and an on-screen message confirms each one. Pass under cleanly without touching the bridge, its supports or the ground, because a scrape can void the attempt.
A helicopter is the easier choice, and a Buzzard is the one to take for the tightest gaps, since its small rotor fits where others clip. Trevor is the usual pick because he starts with the best Flying skill, and a higher Flying skill makes any aircraft easier to control. Quick-save before a hard bridge, and if your aircraft gets damaged, switch to another character and back to fix it.
There is no set order, and many bridges chain in one pass: 1 to 14 follow the Los Santos River downstream into the port, 33 to 39 run along one canal from La Puerta to the port, and 49, 48 and 50 chain in one run through Murrieta Heights. Pause menu > Stats > Vehicles shows how many of the 50 you have done. The numbers on this page are our own, and other maps and lists order the bridges differently.
