How to Unlock the Benefactor Terrorbyte in GTA V Online

To buy the Benefactor Terrorbyte you first need a qualifying property: a Nightclub or, since the Agents of Sabotage update, the Darnell Bros Garment Factory. Either one lets you purchase, store, and modify the Terrorbyte.

For most players the Nightclub is the better route. It unlocks profitable missions of its own, ties together your other businesses including the Bunker and MC Club businesses, and it even has one of the few streams of completely passive income in the game. The Garment Factory route matters if you want the newer Bureau Tech upgrades covered below.

If you can't afford either, may we suggest first working toward the Kosatka and completing a few Cayo Perico Heists, arguably one of the best payouts for time investment in the game.

So if you're ready to get the Benefactor Terrorbyte, simply follow these steps:

  • Open Maze Bank Foreclosures on your phone and purchase a Nightclub. The least expensive one is the Elysian Island Nightclub at GTA$ 1,080,000. If your budget stretches further, the Downtown Vinewood Nightclub (GTA$ 1,670,000) is the location most players recommend: it sits near the center of the map for warehouse sell deliveries and costs GTA$ 30,000 less than the West Vinewood club next door. If you already own the Garment Factory, you can skip this step.

  • Open Warstock Cache and Carry on your phone and buy the Benefactor Terrorbyte. The most basic version costs GTA$ 1,375,000. With all of the original upgrades it can be as much as GTA$ 3,459,500, and the four Bureau Tech upgrades add up to another GTA$ 3,390,000 on top of that.

  • The Terrorbyte is stored in your Nightclub warehouse on level B5 (or at the Garment Factory). See the next section to decide which upgrades you want.

Benefactor Terrorbyte FAQ

Is the Terrorbyte still worth buying?

Yes. The modern consensus is that the Terrorbyte earns its keep as a mobile business hub and as the only place to store and customize the Oppressor Mk II. Even after the Mk II's 2022 nerf, that garage alone justifies it for many players. Paige's client jobs are a bonus rather than the main draw.

Can you sell the Terrorbyte?

No. The Terrorbyte cannot be sold or traded in, so you buy it once and keep it. Upgrades can't be refunded either, which is why it pays to pick them carefully.

Terrorbyte, MOC, or Avenger: which should you buy first?

If making money is the goal, the Terrorbyte. The MOC and Avenger are weaponized-vehicle workshops and heist-prep tools, while the Terrorbyte runs your businesses from anywhere and garages the Oppressor Mk II.

Do Paige's client jobs pay well?

Not really. Solo jobs pay around GTA$ 30,000 to GTA$ 31,500 with a 30-minute cooldown per job, and the 2-player jobs pay only about GTA$ 10,000 split. Treat them as variety between sell missions, not a core grind.

Which upgrades should you skip?

If you're money-focused, skip the Turret Station and think carefully about the Drone Station: it costs GTA$ 815,000 and is only required for the Targeted Data and Diamond Shopping client jobs. The Specialized Workshop is the must-have if you own an Oppressor Mk II.

Can the Terrorbyte buy supplies or start sell missions?

Only if you own the Master Control Terminal from the Bureau Tech upgrades. The base Terrorbyte can launch source and resupply-steal missions, but it can't buy supplies, check stock, or trigger sell missions.
